Applications are invited for the post of Scientist 'D' (Pharmacology) in Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR), Belgaum- 01 Post

 Essential Qualifications:
(i) MBBS Degree recognized by MCI
Or
1st class M.Sc. in Pharmacology / MS (Pharma) in Pharmacology and Toxicology/ M. Pharma (Pharmacology) or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
Or
2nd Class M.Sc. in Pharmacology/ 2nd Class MS (Pharma) in Pharmacology and Toxicology/ 2nd Class M. Pharma (Pharmacology) + Ph. D. Degree in the above subjects from a recognized University.

(ii) Eight years R&D experience in relevant area in recognized institute(s) after obtaining essential qualification (i) out of which at least 2 years in a managerial position to handle R&D projects in a team effectively in a directing capacity.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years. Relaxable up to 5 years for Government Servants and SC/ST/OBC candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time in this regard. However, the prescribed age may be further relaxed in exceptional cases for experienced and qualified candidates.

Service Conditions:
(1) Pay Band -3 Rs.15600-39100 + Rs. 7600 (Grade Pay)
(2) Allowances as per Central Government Rules are admissible on the above pay scale.
(3) Benefits of new restructured defined contributory pension system are admissible as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECD & PR Division), Notification No. 05/07/2003-ECD & PR dated: 22.12.2003 & effective from 1.1.2004.
(4) Applications from employees working in Central/State Govt. Departments/ Public Sector Undertakings and Govt. funded research agencies must be forwarded through proper channel. Advance copies of application will be considered subject to the conditions that a "No Objection Certificate" from the employer is produced at the time of personal discussion. (7) Unsigned/Incomplete application in respect of the above points or application without supportive evidence asked for or applications without IPO and applications received after the prescribed closing date are liable to be summarily rejected.

NOTE: 1) MD/ Ph. D degree in subjects relevant to Indian Council of Medical Research shall be treated equivalent to three years experience. 2) Candidates with MD/ Ph. D degree will be preferred for direct recruitment. 3) If no suitable candidate is found at Scientist ‘D’ level, the post can be filled up at lower lever i.e. Scientist ‘C’. 4) Since it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates for the interview/ personal discussion, the applicants will be short-listed for this purpose. GENERAL CONDITIONS

However, in case of non availability of a slot at their preferred choices, the closest other centre to the address of the candidates will be allotted. The decision of AIIMS, Rishikesh will be final in this regard.
9. Those who are in regular employment must submit a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from the employers at the time of Interview.
10. Cut-Offs (Minimum Qualifying Marks) on Objective tests or/and interview as the case may be will be decided by Selection Committee.
11. Candidates with valid application shall be issued call letter & admit card. These can be downloaded by the candidates directly from the AIIMS, Rishikesh website aiimsrishikesh.edu.in by entering their Registration Number/application Number, Date of Birth. Call letters will not be sent by post. This facility would be available on website 15 days before the actual date of examination.
12. The mode of selection for posts shall be interview subject to the applicants are less than ten for each given post. However, if ratio of sanctioned post and applicants exceeds more than 1:10 (subject to the minimum of 50 applicants); the mode of selection will be written examinations followed by interview with weightage of 85% and 15% respectively and also thereafter skill test where applicable.
13. No TA/DA shall be admissible for appearing in the Written Test or Interview.
14. The period of Probation shall be of 2 years.

vi) Age limit shall not be a bar for Departmental candidates & candidates of other subsidiary companies of Coal India Limited fulfilling all eligibility criteria. However, their application should be forwarded though proper channel.

Application Fee (Non-Refundable)
i) Candidates belonging to General & OBC (Both Creamy & Non Creamy Layer) category are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.100/- only by demand draft from any nationalized Bank in favor of “Central Coalfields Limited” payable at Ranchi. Name of the candidate and post applied for should be written on the back side of the demand draft.
ii) SC/ST Candidates, Ex-Serviceman and Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. However, for claiming exemption in application fee they have to attach an attested copy of relevant certificates as applicable, issued by Competent Authority in the prescribed format.
iii) Departmental candidates & candidates of other subsidiary companies of Coal India Limited fulfilling all eligibility criteria are exempted from payment of application fee. However, their application should be forwarded though proper channel.

Note:
1. Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances nor can it be held in reserve for any other future selection process.
2. Fee submitted through any other mode will not be accepted and such application will be summarily rejected.

Selection process: 
The selection methodology will comprise of written test and interview. The candidates short listed in the written test only will be eligible to appear for interview.

Written test: Eligible candidates will be required to appear for an objective type written test at any one of the test centres at Ranchi. Exact schedule of written test will be displayed on CCL website (ccl.gov.in) in due course.

Interview: Candidates short listed on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for interview and the intimation will be given to the candidates through registered post and e-mail.

No TA/DA shall be paid for attending written test / interview, however, SC/ST candidate called for interview will be paid to & fro second class train fare by shortest route from the address of correspondence to Ranchi on production of ticket (provided the distance travelled by rail each way exceed 30 KMs).

Health/Medical fitness: Appointment to the above posts will be subject to the candidate being medically fit as per the standards prescribed for the post by the company.
