Retired Armed Forces personnel till 2002 could avail medical facilities only for specific high cost surgery/treatment for a limited number of diseases covered under the Army Group Insurance(Medical Branch Scheme) (AGI(MBS)) and Armed Forces Group Insurance Scheme(Management Information System) (AFGIS (MIS)) schemes. These medicare schemes could provide some relief to the ESM, but it was not a comprehensive scheme as compared to and available for other Central Government Employees. Therefore, the requirement was felt of establishing a medicare system which could provide quality medicare to the retirees of the Armed Forces.

Qualification: (i) B. Pharmacy from a recognized Institute Or
(ii) 10+2 with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) from a recognized Board.

(iii) Approved Diploma in Pharmacy from an Institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India and registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.

OTHER GENERAL CONDITIONS:
i) The candidates who are willing to apply for the above said posts must have the essential qualification, experience etc. stated above, as the case may be as on 30.09.2014 i.e. last date of receipt of Online applications.
ii) The Written Test will be held in Chandigarh only. Candidates with valid Applications shall be issued Call Letters/Admit Cards. These should be downloaded by the candidates directly from the GMCH website qmch.gov.in by clicking at link “VACANCIES” by entering his/her Registration Number/Application ID and Date of Birth. Call letters/Admit Cards will not be sent by post. Copy of Call letters/Admit Card will also be sent to the candidates through email-ID and will be available on the website.
iii) On the basis of written test, the candidates will be shortlisted. The shortlisted candidates must bring all original certificates along with one set of photocopies, duly attested/self attested. All the original certificates/documents will be verified at the time of interview.
iv) No separate letter for Written Test, Interview etc. will be sent.
v) Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID which should be kept active during the recruitment process, as all the information relating to recruitment of the said posts will be available only on On-Line.
